Situated at the intersection of Travis and Franklin St. in Downtown Houston, Barbacana is a restaurant helmed by Chef Christian Hernandez, formerly of BCN and March in addition to stints in restaurants around the country and in Mexico.

The menu—currently, a set tasting one— is one that reflects his expansive experiences in kitchen around North America and consequent world views too. Particularly, low-waste and sustainability remains a major focus in his work. Elsewhere, the 70-items wine list is just as expansive and varied, including wines from classic benchmark producers just as well as new modern winemakers working with experimental methods.
